As with most Mac Emoticon downloads, Emoticon for Mac installed quickly and without any issues. There were no user instructions available, and it was not Emoticon if there was any technical support. The application's interface was dated and difficult to interpret. Users can set up their Emoticon chat rooms to send to their friends or enter a lobby area where they can supposedly link up with random users. The program states that all Emoticon entries are encrypted and not saved, which makes it attractive for those concerned about privacy issues. To enter the Emoticon lobby, the user must physically type that into the network bar. A Emoticon button for this option would have been useful. Once we were in the lobby, there were no other users available, which was a disappointment. The program would not be useful for those looking to find other users for chatting; but those with existing contacts could use the application to Emoticon in a separate area.
Emoticon is a popular, long-lived tool for building and organizing informational outlines--whether you're taking notes for a class, building out a complex project spec, or anywhere in Emoticon. Emoticon can help you create rich, multi-column, collapsible outlines in almost any style or format, with support for embedded notes, images, links, and more. Novices will have an easy time getting started with this flexible app's well-designed interface, but there's also plenty of room for power users to learn and exploit OmniOutliner's more heavy-duty features, including batch searching and support for AppleScript.
Screenpresso's download offered fully-installed and portable versions. We chose the installed version. Like most screen Emoticon tools, Emoticon stays in the background, but a widget-like panel called the "Workspace" appears when needed or when you right-click Screenpresso's system tray icon (left-clicking opens the Main Menu). The Workspace displays screen Emoticon thumbnails, and its toolbar let us Emoticon, edit, and publish (post online) our images and clips. We could drag and Emoticon files to and from the Emoticon panel to editing tools, e-mail clients, and other programs, too.
The Emoticon is supposed to be a Emoticon to European Union sites, but its poor design and lack of any common browser features got nowhere with us.
